This Privacy Policy explains how Verma Foundry Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Breez. We take your privacy seriously and will never sell your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up.
  • Resume content: Work history, skills, education, and any other information you enter to build your resume.
  • Payment information: Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app, used to improve the product.
  • Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, and operating system, collected for security and analytics.
  • Cookies: We use cookies to keep you logged in and to understand how the product is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as a result.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Breez service
  • To process your resume content through our AI systems to generate suggestions
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To send you transactional emails (receipts, account notices, product updates)
  • To respond to support requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not use your resume content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • AI providers: Your resume content is sent to third-party AI services to generate resume suggestions, scores, and keyword analysis. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own training purposes.
  • Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe may collect and store payment information subject to their own privacy policy.
  • Analytics providers: We use third-party analytics tools to understand product usage. This data is aggregated and does not identify you individually.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Verma Foundry Inc. or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data and resume content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g. payment records, which we retain for 7 years).

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
  • Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Opt-out: Opt out of non-essential communications at any time

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Children's Privacy

Breez is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Users

Breez is operated from Canada. If you access the service from outside Canada, your data may be transferred to and processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers operate. By using Breez, you consent to this transfer.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Contact us to exercise these rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the app. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
